CoNTExT

CoNTExT is a series of bioinformatic tools used for judging how well in vitro neural stem cell cultures match in vivo brain development. The tools are based on matching transcriptomic signatures derived from your in vitro neural culture to transcriptomic atlases of in vivo brain development (Kang et al., 2011; Miller et al., 2014). These tools can be used to assess in user uploaded data: (1) how well in vitro models match in vivo development, (2) what level of developmental maturity is achieved after differentiation, (3) what neuroanatomical identity is modeled, (4) what specific neurodevelopmental processes and molecular mechanisms are preserved. Please see instruction page for guidelines on how to use the tool.
